Every day, your organization quietly changes lives.

You feed families, protect wildlife, support children, care for neighbors, and preserve the places that make Port Aransas home. Most people never see the countless hours, volunteers, and sacrifices behind that work.

This initiative isn't simply about writing checks. It's about telling your story, mobilizing volunteers, and inviting an entire community to stand beside you.

Who Can Apply

Is your organization eligible?

First, is your organization a registered nonprofit? If so, here is what else we look for.

  • Supports Port Aransas
  • Organized as a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity in good standing
  • Valid EIN, listed in the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search, unless the church exception applies
  • Not appearing on the IRS Automatic Revocation of Exemption List
  • Not a private foundation; private operating foundations considered individually
  • Not a Type III non-functionally integrated supporting organization
  • No political campaign activity or substantial lobbying; 501(c)(4), 501(c)(6), and PACs are not eligible
  • Operating continuously for at least two years as of August 15, 2026
  • Willing to share its story publicly

What Happens Next

From application to funding.

  1. You apply

    Tell us who you serve and what the funding would go toward.

  2. We meet

    Interviews are completed by September 21.

  3. Beneficiaries announced

    Selected organizations are introduced after interviews, each with a story feature.

  4. The community gives, then serves

    Giving runs November 1 to 15, and service days follow through November 25.

  5. Funding presented

    Grants are presented in December, and every amount is published.
